Model Farm Project

Congo Brazzaville

The Congo Brazzaville project aims to establish a Model Farm (BFuture Farm) in the Malolo area, Niari, to develop and strengthen the agri-food and livestock sectors, agricultural, livestock and civil infrastructure, as well as the capacities of local institutions and communities in Congo Brazzaville.

The objective of the Model Farm in Congo Brazzaville is to cultivate and manage an area of 10,000 hectares within three years, focusing on the target crops of maize, soybeans, rice, and peanuts, while simultaneously developing livestock activities through the introduction of an egg-laying poultry supply chain for egg production.

The BFuture Farm provides agricultural and social infrastructure for its employees, including training areas, multi-purpose areas, dormitories, and canteens.

The project supports its employees through training programmes and various learning pathways on topics such as agriculture, cooking, mechanics, and more.

BF International Best Fields Best Food Ltd. (BFI) develops the internationalisation project of the B.F. S.p.A. group, focusing on the exploitation of the know-how of the group’s companies.

BFI is committed to building a solid and strategic international network, promoting agricultural, economic, and social growth in the countries where it operates.

Through alliances with institutional and industrial partners, it develops synergies with local governments to promote technological innovation and sustainability in the agro-industry sector.

LOCAL EMPOWERMENT AND FOOD SECURITY

Specifically, the initiative will, once fully operational, involve the cultivation of cereals – durum and soft wheat (on approximately 70% of the surface) – and the remaining area dedicated to legumes such as lentils and beans.
